Anyone here ever read a blog post on the reputed website and found they all follow a similar format. And you should know that it’s not a coincidence, it’s for a reason. Because that format helps them to receive a minimum number of visitors per blog post.
Do you want to know the formula on how they write the perfect guest post?
Today I’m going to share with you the format of how to write a blog post from start to finish. This is my first question for you:
Did you have already written a blog post before?
If you already did it then please leave a comment with “yes”. If you didn’t write a blog post ever then leave a comment with “no”. I am very curious about this to know how many of you have already written a blog post.
I’m going to discuss with you the perfect formula that really works for my own blog. This formula works for everything like eCommerce blog, service website blog or a personal blog. I am not kidding with you; this is the best formula out there.
Start off with a catchy title.
Unless you don’t have the exact title, please do not start writing your blog post. Did you know out of ten people eight people will read your headline, but only two out of ten will click the link and read the whole content? It doesn’t matter how genuine of a blog post you write, if you don’t write a catchy headline, no one’s going to read the rest of your post.
All credit goes to headline or title, or whatever you want to call it. If you need some ideas, then visit a grocery store or check out a magazine. When you go through a grocery store and checking out, you see all these magazines! They have amazing titles with How To, Livspace, articles like “Lose weight in 30 days”, How to lose five pounds fast! It doesn’t matter what kind of magazine they are, whether it’s a fashion magazine or whether it’s a health magazine or an entertainment magazine, they all use catchy titles.
You should follow this with your blog post too. And look for different popular websites for ideas. Don’t stick with the basics. I generally use “How To” a lot, I use Livspace posts, those two things have worked wonders for me, and they haven’t got old yet. So, start with the title.
Before start writing prepare three to four versions of the title. For this purpose, that’s what I do and I want suggestions from people hey, what do you like, I also ask a few friends, then I pick the best one and that’s what I go with.
Okay let’s forward to the second step and it is…
Introduction of your blog post:
In this part, you need to attract people with a bold statement. For example, in this blog post,I hooked you by saying “Do you want to know the formula on how they write the perfect guest post?” By hooking people in, they’re going to read the whole content.
And with the perfect introduction, it’s not just talking, gain the people’s attention in. It’s also about talking about what’s going to be discussed in the post. Just give them a quick hint on what you’re going to teach them, is a great way to keep them in, as well, to get them to go more inside your blog post, read more, and ideally, even leave a comment at the end of your post.
After the introduction is done, it’s time to get into your body.
Body of Your Content:
Your content’s body must include subheadings. Keep in mind, you should write your content in a way such that it is easy to read. If people can’t read it easily and quickly then you’re not going to do well. In your body, always use subheadings, and keep your paragraphs small (around five to six lines maximum).
Other things to be maintained, when you’re writing your content in your body, you’ll notice that at least on seoselfhelp.net, I like to link out to other people. It is an Important one of my formula, it’s not just about internal linking, it’s about linking to other reputed websites.
Because when you link to other useful websites, you open up your sources, you’re referring them, it creates more credibility for you, makes you and your content look more informative, and that’s what everybody wants to be perceived at when you’re writing content. Last but not least, you want to leave an endnote as a conclusion.
Conclusion of your Content:
The conclusion or endnote is the summary of your post, and you end up your conclusion with a question. The benefit of ending the text with a question is more people would like to leave a comment. When the readers leave a comment, it creates more engagement. As a result, you’re much more likely to increase sales.
After reading the blog if visitors don’t engage with you, they’re not going to become a lead or buy your services and products. So, it is very important for you to end your content with a question. And here is what we found with conclusions. Brazing Crazy Egg, “we use a scroll mat feature, and what we found through testing was, a lot of people read blog posts, when they first land on them, they quickly scroll to the bottom, check out the conclusion, and then they go back up and read the rest, assuming they like the conclusion.”
So, when you are writing a conclusion, make sure that you mark it as “Conclusion”. Don’t make it lengthy, keep it easy. Just call it a good ole’ conclusion. It is one of my important formula for writing an engaging blog post! It’s not that hard.
